Chest pain can be worrying because it can be a symptom of an underlying lung problem or heart disease. It can be due to other causes including oesophageal disease, gall stones, muscular causes and others.
Dr McAlpine has extensive experience in evaluating acute chest pains in hospital admissions and in more persistent pains in the outpatient setting. Relevant tests can include ECG and exercise-ECG as well as chest x-ray, CT scans, and other tests. The approach to investigation will be decided after listening to your history in detail and examining you carefully.
